10th Jan 2014
Finally heard back from the "decision makers" today. Having sent off for a referral decision on the 20th December, and being notified of receipt of appeal on 23rd.
The chap i spoke to, said that i must take more than 2, (i.e 3) steps to look for work, quoting legislation JSA 1996. 18 (1)
Which is here:-
18. (1) For the purposes of section 7(1) (actively seeking employment) a person shall be expected to have to take more than one step on one occasion in any week unless taking one step on one occasion is all that it is reasonable for that person to do in that week.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1996/207/regulation/18/made
Here it very clearly defines more than one step per week.
I could not see any peripheral or patriarchal evidence to suggest that this has been changed or superseded.
Secondly according to Peter at Norwich DRT, "decision makers" are not given individual job ref no's to actually check and confirm whether a jobseeker could of applied for a job or not, they are simply given a list of jobs that the jobseeker allegedly could of applied for, and trust that this source is valid.
I stated that i had proof of departmental corruption at this point, suggesting the information is not valid or true in its entirety.
So i will be handing that in on Monday, when i go do battle once more.
Fun and games. *sigh.

Dan Kinobi I didn't hand in the proof of corruption at this time, because i felt there had been a mistake due to the number of steps required to look for work. However this has become a peripheral point (albeit a point of law in that i believe during the period in question i had indeed still abided by the law.
