65) Unreasonable Terms

16th June 2014

Jobcentre encounter.

I have again refused to sign for jobseekers once weekly, as far as i am aware it is only bi-weekly that i am required to sign and receive social entitlement, and i shall adhere to this. After refusing to sign on a weekly basis, i was told by caroline (Stafford DWP), that she would be talking to her advisor sean and trying to get me to attend on a daily basis.

I told her in no uncertain terms that this would not be happening.

This is ironically the reason i refused to sign on a weekly basis in the first place (as you can see from my posts below) as i logically knew if i gave my implied consent, then they would not stop at a "once weekly" signing basis, but instead try to impose further unreasonable restrictions on my jobseeking, which is exactly what they have threatened to do.

This is also the reason i remain resolute with regards to my previous jobseekers agreement, which remains in effect. It seems as though the DWP are trying to force through whatever means they can everyone onto a "claimant commitment" which will no doubt have further unreasonable punitive measures enshrined in law.

With regards to the DWP illegally stopping my claim, caroline informed me that "this is a work in progress". Again a grey area, i have had no official notification about this whatsoever. I was told by sean at my last encounter with the DWP, that this was a departmental error, that would and should be overturned. 2 weeks later and nothing has happened with regard to it.

As far as i am aware and concerned i still have an original jobseekers agreement in place.

Caroline tried to air her personal views on my period of absence from work, i politely reminded her that she was acting in a professional capacity and not a personal one, and to please refrain from commenting on such things, in so much as her comments should not hinder her in the execution of her duties as a civil SERVANT.
